Why buy my pup from Manderly Havanese?
• Our pups are born and raised in our home. We begin working with our puppies from the day they are whelped. They constantly interact with children ages 2 to 72 and are well socialized.
• While not all of our adults are show dogs, we do show selected adults and are very familiar with the AKC standard for our breed. We love the hobby of showing purebred dogs and will happily offer our experience and expertise to help mentor you and get you started in the show ring.
• We are a hobby breeder. All of our dogs, including your prospective puppy are cherished members of our family, living inside our home.
• We have traveled far and wide to select quality adults that conform to breed standard for our program. We have also invested time, energy and have logged many miles to obtain health certifications (eyes, hearts, hearing, patellas) to help insure that our adults are of sound health. As a result of our testing, we feel confident that our puppies are premium quality. We offer a one year health warranty on our puppies.
Are Havanese good with children?
• Havanese are excellent family dogs. They were bred for companionship and not for protection as in the case of some other breeds such as shitz-tzus. The Havanese are a small but sturdy dog that is affectionate and even tempered making them ideal for families with even young children.

How big do Havanese get?
• According to breed standard the Havanese will weigh 7-12 pounds.
How much grooming do Havanese require?
• Most house pets are kept in a “puppy cut” and are groomed either professionally or by their owner every 6 weeks. Havanese naturally are a non-shedding dog whose long hair requires substantially more attention if kept in full show-coat.
